Granger Fire & EMS Department Building

The new Fire Station is officially open and was dedicated at 2pm on September 18, 2004 with many community, former fire deparment members, as well as surrounding fire dept members present. A great time of fellowship and the chicken barbecue followed.

The building came in close to budget, although the final bill has not been paid yet.

Simonson Builders, Inc. out of Ashland was awarded the bid as General Contractor in the amount of $794,612.00.
The HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Trades Contract was awarded to Gene's Refrigeration in a combination bid of $166,600.00.

The split face, 11,500 square foot building has 4 generous truck/squad bays and offices, as well as a dispatch room, gear room, and meeting room.

The majority of the funds came from the Fire Levy, with the balance from the General Fund.
